Objectives and Purpose of the Policy
Overall Aims: Consultinc T/A Thrive Training is committed to providing high-quality education and training, ensuring the continuous improvement of its programs, and fostering a culture of excellence and integrity. The overall aim of our Quality Assurance (QA) Policy is to establish and maintain a framework that supports the achievement of academic and operational excellence.
Links with Other Policies: This QA policy is aligned with Consultinc T/A Thrive Training’s mission statement and is informed by the CTH awarding body requirements. It serves as a guiding document to ensure that all activities within the THRIVE Training are in harmony with the overall goals and values.
What Does the QA Policy Cover: The QA Policy covers all aspects of academic and operational activities at Consultinc T/A Thrive Training, including program delivery, assessment practices, staff and student recruitment, and other related processes.
It provides a comprehensive framework to maintain and enhance the quality of education and training services provided by THRIVE Training.
Scope of the Policy: This policy applies to all employees, participants, and stakeholders involved in the delivery and assessment of programs at Consultinc T/A Thrive Training. It encompasses an holistic approach to quality assurance.
Roles and Responsibilities
Who is Responsible for QA: The responsibility for ensuring the effective implementation of the QA Policy rests with the Quality Assurance Director, Monica Or who oversees the entire QA framework. Monica Or and Paul Evans work collaboratively with identified individuals to ensure the consistent application of quality standards.
Infrastructure of Responsibilities for QA/Identified Individuals: Various individuals within the Thrive have designated responsibilities for specific aspects of quality assurance. These responsibilities are outlined in the Quality Assurance Manual, which is regularly updated and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
Prevention of Malpractice/Maladministration: All staff members are responsible for preventing malpractice and maladministration. THRIVE Training has established procedures and guidelines to identify, address, and prevent any instances of malpractice or maladministration promptly.
Quality of Programmes
Selection and Recruitment of Staff and Participants: Stringent processes are in place for the selection and recruitment of qualified staff and capable participants, ensuring that individuals align with the THRIVE Training’s values and contribute to the overall quality of the learning environment. All staff will undertake a micro teach plus interview. All will be required to evidence appropriate ongoing industry and training/training experience and qualifications.
Induction Programmes: Comprehensive induction programs are conducted for both staff and participants to familiarize them with Consultinc T/A Thrive Training’s values, policies, and expectations. This helps in creating a shared understanding and commitment to quality standards.
Registration Procedures: Transparent and efficient registration procedures are established, ensuring accurate records, and facilitating the smooth entry of participants into the training programme.
How the Centre Quality Assures its Educational Output
Maintaining Quality Through Delivery of Programmes: Continuous monitoring of program delivery ensures that educational objectives are met. Regular evaluations and feedback mechanisms contribute to the ongoing improvement of training and learning practices.
Learner Tracking and Performance; Action Plans: THRIVE Training employs robust learner tracking systems to monitor and evaluate student performance. Action plans are developed to address any identified issues promptly, providing additional support where necessary.
Consideration of Results and Pass Rate Success: Results and pass rates are regularly reviewed to identify trends and patterns. This data informs strategic decisions aimed at improving educational outcomes.
Review of Educational Content and Objectives: Regular reviews of educational content and objectives are conducted at the end of each training unit to ensure relevance, currency, and alignment with industry standards and academic best practices.
Staff Performance: Trainers performance is regularly assessed through peer evaluations, student feedback, and professional development opportunities. This ensures that the training staff maintains high standards of competence and effectiveness.
Review Mechanisms and Development of Improvement Plans: Comprehensive review mechanisms are in place, including internal and external evaluations, to identify areas for improvement. Improvement plans are developed and implemented to address any deficiencies and enhance overall performance.
Feedback Systems: Structured feedback systems, including student surveys and staff feedback mechanisms, will be utilised to gather insights into the learning and training experience. Feedback is carefully analysed, and appropriate actions are taken to address concerns and enhance quality.
How the Centre Quality Assures the Quality of Assessment Practices
Structure of Internal Verification Arrangements/Stages and Systems e.g Standardisation: Internal verification arrangements within the team are structured to include multiple stages, ensuring the standardisation of delivery and assessment practices. This involves systematic reviews and checks to maintain consistency and fairness in the assessment process.
Who is Involved: THRIVE team members will assist to oversee and verify assessment practices. The Quality Assurance Director, Monica Or and Paul Evans, plays a key role in coordinating and supporting the internal verification process.
Planning for Internal Verification: A well-defined plan for internal verification is established, outlining the schedule, responsibilities, and specific procedures to be followed during the verification process.
Training IVs: Internal verifiers undergo comprehensive training to ensure they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively carry out their verification responsibilities.
Monitoring Assessors: Regular monitoring of assessors is conducted to ensure adherence to established assessment practices. Feedback and support are provided to assessors to maintain and enhance the quality of assessments.
Countersigning Arrangements: A structured countersigning process involving the Director of Quality is implemented to provide an additional layer of quality assurance, ensuring that assessments are valid, reliable, and meet the required standards.
Sampling Methods: Sampling methods are employed during internal verification to systematically review a representative sample of assessments. This ensures that the entire assessment process is scrutinised effectively.
Agreed and Published Timetable for IQA including Sampling, Standardisation, and Meeting Dates: A timetable outlining the internal quality assurance (IQA) activities, including sampling, standardization, and meetings, will be agreed upon and published. This ensures transparency and allows stakeholders to be informed about the QA process.
Evidence/Records: Comprehensive records and evidence of internal verification activities are maintained, providing a documented history of quality assurance efforts. These records are subject to periodic review to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Process of Review: Frequency, Who’s Involved: The QA Policy undergoes a systematic review process at regular intervals, with Monica Or and Paul Evans leading the review.
The frequency of reviews is determined by THRIVE Training needs, changes in regulatory requirements, and emerging best practices. The review process involves input from key stakeholders, including faculty, staff, participants, and external quality assurance bodies.
